Description

We are looking for a Sr Director of Engineering to join our team to build and lead our Data and Engineering teams here in the US. It will lead various projects across the company to help create processes and execute strategies to ensure projects are developed in a timely manner. Sr Director of Engineering will be responsible for calling the shots on areas such as software development, Data Engineering, and Architecture. Ultimately, you will work closely with different teams to ensure projects are completed according to schedule.

Requirements

  • Designing and implementing solutions across a range of technologies
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of software development and associated technologies
  • Extensive experience of programming languages: Java, Python, Javascript/Typescript, SQL
  • Real life experience of container technologies, especially Docker, and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform, ideally Azure
  • Proven problem solving ability and the ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Strong communication skills and highly effective when working with a team
  • Experience with DevOps/GitOps/CICD, infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation
  • Experience in data engineering, analytics, and data processing techniques would be beneficial
  • Experience with UI technologies and Web frameworks
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API approaches and technologies
